My Next Book
About a year ago, an idea for a new book popped in my head. This unique idea would not leave my brain, so I began to plot the story to figure out the best way to write it. I decided to write it in the present tense, which I’ve never done before, but it really works and helps the plot move quicker. After my cancers diagnosis last July, as I lay in the hospital thinking about this book I’d already started writing, the story all came together. It really felt as if God wanted me to write this book.
What’s it about, you ask? Okay, here’s the plot: What if your guardian angel came to earth in human form and told you God had a plan for you to save the world? I have a very strong faith and truly believe every one of us has a guardian angel looking over us. In movies like “The Preacher’s Wife”, which is a remake of “The Bishop’s WIfe”, Denzel Washington (and Cary Grant before him) played angels who take on a human form. I love the concept and did some rearch to discover there are not a lot of books out there that dive into this concept. I found that while writing this book, I was able to share my faith in a non-threatening way. The overall message? Believe in God, be a good person, and don’t be afraid of death.
Plot-wise, the archangel Michael comes to earth and tells our lead character, Christian Hagios (which means ‘sacred’ and ‘set apart’ in Greek), that God chose him before birth to save the world. How will her save all of humanity? First he must recover the Ark of the Covenant. Inside the Ark is a sacred object Christian will need to use to lead others toward God. But as you can imagine, even the best laid plans laid out by God don’t always turn out the way they’re suppossed to.
As for the amazing cover, I paid $35 to a website called getcovers.com, and the designer did a fantastic job with it! I can’t wait to share it with you! But first, I wait. I entered “The Ark Angel” into the Reader’s Favorite contest. They give out free reviews, so I want to see what they say (along with my mom and Chrissy) and make any necessary changes or fixes before I let you read it. But stay tuned because I will let you know on social media (Facebook: matt.stewart.4) the actual release date. Thank you for your patrience, and I hope my latest book inspires you to not only get closer to God, but helps you better understand His purpose for you in this lifetime.
